Street Fighter V PC Low vs Ultra Graphics Benchmark Video

Capcom's latest iteration of its ever popular Street Fighter series launches tomorrow with Street Fighter V, with the Japanese publisher predicting the game will sell through two million copies across both PC and PS4 in its first six weeks. We sat down and tested Street Fighter 5's performance on our MSI Radeon R9 380 2GB graphics card to see how this middle-of-the-range GPU would run the game.
Street Fighter 5 ran incredibly smoothly on even the Ultra graphics settings, achieving a very stable 60 frames per second with very occasional dips down to 30, but these were usually during transition screens, i.e. between the fighter select and character intro animations. On Low graphics I experienced the exact same but with less severe dips – whereas on Ultra SFV would stutter initially during character animations I never encountered laggy moments in-game on Low.

The Street Fighter V PC performance Low vs Ultra graphics benchmark was made using an Intel i7 5820K, AMD MSI Radeon R9 380 2gb and 16gb RAM memory PC on a 1920x1080 screen resolution.

There was quite a large disparity in graphical fidelity between the Minimum graphics settings in Street Fighter V and the maximum graphics options, specifically in Texture Quality and Aliasing. When on the Low graphics setting character models are particularly fuzzy, whereas on Ultra visuals they appear pin sharp and of the quality level expected from a AAA release.
Due to the fact that Street Fighter V is a fighting game, it would be extremely surprising to encounter performance issues (compared with open world AAA titles for instance) but the game runs incredibly smoothly even when pushed to its fullest potential. To not even experience occasional dips below 60 during gameplay was particularly enjoyable and really allows the game to show off its beautiful cel-shaded style in all its glory.
