Need For Speed System Requirements Revealed
Its about time we all got to enjoy a good racing game. With less than a month until PC release, Need for Speed 2016 has a lot to live up to. A reboot is definitely what the series needed in order to drive past the negatives that were catching up with it.
We have finally gotten our hands on the Need For Speed system requirements, as EA have passed them through to us. So lets take a look to see what sort of PC today's NFS 2016 gamer will need to run this latest racer.

So NFS 2016 is going to need a fair amount of RAM, at 6GB for minimum system memory requirements, but by todays game standard that is certainly to be expected for a fast paced racer title. Scenery will be flying past at a rate of knots as we jump into a variety of top end street racing cars.
An i5 4690 processor may also put a little barrier to some of the older machines out there, when considering trying to reach top end performance.
A GTX 750 ti is a solid GPU from a few years ago and a lot of people might still have one of these. This or the AMD Radeon HD 7850 will get you past the minimum graphics requirements, but I reckon the majority of serious gamers wanting to play a fast racing title like NFS will probably be sporting something closer to the recommended, a GTX 970 or R9 290.
Some people would argue that playing a title like Need For Speed is almost as much about how it looks, as it is about the physics and gameplay. We want to really enjoy the wonderful classic sports cars, and so getting a good PC for NFS is going to be highly recommended if it is your sort of game.
We will be bringing you plenty more comparison and performance benchmarks once the game is passed through to us, including a benchmark on the minimum graphics card. So pop back here around the time of Need For Speeds PC release on 17th March to check some of that coverage out.Last week we heard the great news that Need For Speed Hits The PC Starting Grid Next Month With 4K Support And Uncapped FPS.
