The Division Beta Will Be Available..
Right on cue, Ubisoft has announced The Division’s beta will be commencing on Friday, January 28th. It’s going to be running for a full weekend, closing down on Sunday, January 31st. That gives eager players potentially three days to try before they buy. Ah, and Xbox One players get a ‘One Day Exclusive’, gaining access a day early on Thursday, 28th.
It’s the first opportunity for many to step into the persistent online shooter’s world since that reveal almost three years ago. If you want in then you’ll need to have either pre-ordered a copy of The Division, registered your interest over on Ubisoft’s site, or paid for access as part of the recent Tom Clancy Humble Bundle - which is no longer for sale. But what’s actually going to be included in the beta?
Ubisoft is remaining very tight lipped about this aspect. It’s unlikely to be limited access to the first game, but we’d at least like to get a decent overview of what The Division actually is.
If you don't succeed in securing a code, the full edition of Tom Clancy’s The Division launches on March 8th, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
If I get in I'm basically treating this as a full demo. Any beta that charges for access most definitely isn't worth doing from a testing point of view.
Anybody managed to get confirmation of entry yet? Will your purchasing decision hinge entirely on how this beta goes down? Let us know!
